Default Broken power cable connection on back of Helix

The Helix on my bow shut off while fishing today. After checking it out I noticed that one side of the cable connector wouldn't stay plugged in. I took the connector off and the ear, on the back case of the Helix, that the clamp hooks to is broken off. Not sure how that happened, but it happened. The cables won't stay connected without that tab being on the unit. I took two zip ties and "lassoed" the unit to hold the clamp on and it works fine. That may be my best option, but having a cable tie running across my screen isn't fantastic. Any good ideas on a fix? The right side of my screen on SI has started being darker than the left side. Wondering if I have an issue with that too?

There have been a few reports of the broken ear problem ...

Is your unit still in warranty ... ??

If not (and you don’t often remove the unit) - you could put a dab of rubber silicone type caulk on it ... not enough to completely glue it on but just a dab that could be peeled off if needed ...

Goop Marine is a good probability ...

I don't think so Rickie. Isn't it just a 2 year warranty? If so, then no. I figure that some sort of adhesive will be my best bet.

Can you remove the cable connector and plug them in individually?

I could but there would be nothing to hold the connection in place.

No it’s the back case of the unit. The clip that the piece you posted hooks on to. I’d have to replace the back half of the case to fix it

Just plug the retainer with cables into back of unit. Use a clamp with some wraps or something for protection. Hold everything in place and fill gap with silicone and let cure.
