Default connecting 18 ga to 10 gauge

Hey Guys, Whats the best way to connect the little 18 gauge wire from the Garmin 93sv to a 10 gauge wire that runs to the fuse block. Want to put it on a quick disconnect, not sure I can find step down butt splices, and I don't have my soldering stuff with me.

Soldering would be the best. Temporarily you could strip the 18 gauge wire long and fold it over several times to make it big enough to crimp into the 10 gauge butt splice

If using crimp style connectors could you use a small piece of say 12 ga or similar size wire to fill in the void of the 10ga size hole and still have room to insert your 18ga wire for a permanent crimp.
I would also use heat shrink tubing over the connector.

It might not work, but here is what I would at least try. Take your 18, strip it back enough and lay in beside the 10. Then twist it together tight as you can get it and try to work into one end of the splice connector. Or you could do same thing with a screw on connector that’s right size. Seal as good as you can. It would work temporary. But first chance I got I’d redo when you get home.

This is best way to connect them.
