Anybody have a Motor Guide Xi3? If so whats your opinion on it and how accurate is the anchor mode?

As said believe same as Xi5 and if so its excellent my Xi5 keeps you right where you anchor even in fairly stiff winds, you may get blown back a bit but motor kicks on and very smoothly brings you back into position.
If i bought the $700 version of the xi3 would i have to buy a whole pinpoint gps upgrade or just the remote? Motor guide doesn't make that clear

You have to have the pinpoint GPS up grade.....the pinpoint is the GPS receiver in the trolling motor head.
