    Default Interference

I put in a bigger wire to run my garmin 106sv.
The old wire was too small but i go zero interference with it.
Now I'm getting interference in the shape of a big arc on the screen.
Fyi im running a livescope up front on the 106. I have a lowrance hds9 gen2 on the back. And theres a lowrance TI up front too.
Everything runs off the same battery.
Also, i unplugged the trolling motor, no improvement.
And i noticed the problem went away when i tilted the livescope beam away from the boat,
    Here is a pic.
    Transducer interference?
There's no snowlike interference, just the arc.

Also, when i put the 106 on medium interference settings it helped. But I'd rather not do that.

    Thanks

That’s doesnt look like interference to me, when I run my gain up high I kinda get the same thing but not quite as distinct, if turning it to medium cleans it up but you can still see your bait and fish then why not? With the smaller wire you were getting less power therefore you had to turn up the gain, with the big wire your getting more so you can cut it back, you said when u tilted the transducer away from the boat it went away, I’d like to see the angle that it is when you took that pic, if you watch many videos with guys tuning the livescopers they will tell you they tweak there gain everytime they put it in the water, cold vs warm water, clear vs cloudy, so in so forth affect it, it’s a sensitive little device
Thanks brettw thanked you for this post

Looks like he said , it has to do with the amount of gain. Try cutting back on the gain. Also I think that blue color palette shows everything brighter, both good and bad, try changing it as well but believe it's really related to amount of gain.

It was straight down when I took the picture.
