    What is beam width exactly? I have my Garmin 93sv set at 200khz what beam width is best? Thanks!

    Read up on it it should tell you the degree of cone . Shallower water wider cone angle is best . Some units have more than one cone angle or combos of two

    With a 20° cone and 200 khz the width of the bottom of the cone is approx 1/3 the depth. For instance if you are in 30 ft of water you are seeing about 10 ft of the bottom.
