If the the units are networked together the trolling motor will see all waypoints and will list the waypoints closet to the boat when you search them on your remote. You have to be in the general vicinity of the desired waypoint. Once you select a waypoint your locator will show you that selection and also display the distance to the waypoint. Remember when you reach your waypoint the the trolling motor will turn off so if you want to hold on that spot you will need to hit your spot lock button on the remote. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your response but I was told that only helix units can be networked together and only solix units can be networked together. So that is why I was wondering if there was a way possible for 1 helix and 1 solix to connect to the link system of the trolling motor at the same time.

You might be correct. We are networking two Helix units. Check to see if you can download your waypoints onto a SD card on your Solix. If you can then upload the waypoints on the SD card to your Helix. One extra step that should not take but a couple of seconds. If your Helix is on the bow and connected to your trolling motor than you can accomplish your goal with one extra step. We have been using Helix units since they came out and have upgraded each time that a new generation has been brought out and could not be more satisfied. May want to consider selling the Solix and pairing your Helix and networking the units. We are not experts by any means but have had very good success using these products.
