JPSchneid, did you get the Mega 360?

Im thinking about adding a 360/360 Mega to my kayak. Any tips on using and mounting would be much appreciated.

Not on the kayak. I upgraded to the 102sv and sold the 93 Plus for the "big" boat (17' Alweld CC). The 102sv turned out to be too big and heavy for the kayak tracks, and was in the way a bit, so I decided on the UHD 93 for the kayak - a newer unit than the Plus 93sv I sold. The Side Vu is much better on the UHD, and it's about as big as I care to go size-wise on the kayak. The 102sv is just fine on the big boat.

Are you happy with the UHD quality vs Hummingbird? I had decided on Helix 9 and even bought my mount until this virus ruined my plans now I'm holding onto my money.

The UHD SV quality is not as good as Mega+ SI - but - it is completely useful. Also, if you ever think you want Panoptix - go Garmin. Found these beds with it first time out.

Well I’ve done it. Finally was able to get and buy a fish finder. I really wanted the Helix 9 SI but decided on the garmin 93sv UHD. I just couldn’t bring myself to pay the higher cost for the image and maps when the garmin will do what I need and is 100 times better then what I currently use. Especially with the way the world is now and uncertainty I feel blessed to have been able to do what I have. For a kayak it will be awesome!

Congrats. Its a good unit. I love mine so far. In shallow water the 1120 kHz SV looks great, and I can see bream beds easily. In the deeper water the 455 kHz takes over. Big improvement over the Em+ 93sv and CV52.

Thanks, can't wait to install it and try it out. Looking forward to seeing all the structure I've been missing all these years.
