Greenwing, check out these picks of Wayne as he even tied up then would use a pic of gen 1 360 and same pic of mega 360 to compare the 2. MEGA 360. I was in 10-15 mph wind yesterday and even with trolling motor turned off, still drifting.

Huge difference in the Mega 360 and 360. Wayne and you definitely have them dialed in!! I'm just impressed, thought it would be an improvement but never expected it to be so good.

No interference, no cross talk with Mega 360 and with the old 360 in wave action and high wind, I would show alittle wave action also in my views sometimes, and so far that is not seen with the Mega 360. And not sure as haven’t ran it enough but I am thinking in default settings of Mega settings 1.050-1.175 I am getting a better view vs, running the settings all way up. Need to experiment alittle more when I get the time and the winter weather lets me get out.

I have my 360 preordered and can hardly wait to try it out. Where did you purchase yours from? Great pic by the way.
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

I also think you need to keep the dust and road grit when towing boat down the road off the bottom of the Mega 360 as I am think it will keep it turning as smoothly as possible over years of usage so I use a sil nylon bag with a draw string I had laying around from a trail cam purchase or something I previous got. There may be better coverings to protect the face of the transducer and the 360 degree circle grove and if some one thinks of something different and better please post.

Just got a email on Y cable shipped by BBG Marine. Maybe Humminbird is shipping some Mega 360’s out. Hope so! Won’t get the Y cable tho as fed Ex, UPS , and the US mail won’t be able to deliver to my neck of the woods due to flooding. It’s rained over 3” now in 15 hrs and going to really get dumped on for next 24 hrs.

I just read something on Facebook today. Guy got message from them about manufacturing delays, said mid April now. Don’t take that for gospel just something I read.

Russell Marine sent his pre ordered guys a email that it would be April, then one of the guys on BBC Forum called them today and said now March. Something to do with building them such as maybe a parts shortage? Rumors are rampant. It sounds like Humminbird didn’t anticipate all the early orders and got caught with their pants down. They went thru this when they first released the Mega depth finders also, demand exceeded what they had manufactured a few years ago. Heck, ICAST is only 6 months away for new products in the fishing industry to be released again.

That makes a lot of sense and I will be thinking along the same lines, whenever mine shows up. I haven't looked at the new mega 360 up close, but I'm guess the bottom part is want is rotating... instead of the previous model all being self contained inside the pod. I could definitely see dirt and grim possibly finding a way in any cracks. Thanks for the idea, and good thinking!!
