    Default Helix in the Recliner

Does anyone have a good idea about how to get power to my Helix 8 so I can play with it in my recliner? I'm thinking 12v inducer and a spare power cable...

Yup, spare power cable and a 12V 2A (or more) DC power supply (wall-wart). Not sure what an inducer is...

120v to 12v power supply for Igloo or Coleman 12v coolers work well ...

just search for 12VDC power supply and there will be a LOT of options. I'd get one with at least 5A output .... something like this.

    Robot Check

Edit ...Just saw Rickie's post .... I actually use the power supply for my 12V cooler..... Don't know why the link shows robot check.

I used one of those rechargeable portable jump start batteries back when I first got my Elite 5DSI ... manually entered over 200 waypoints while sitting on the couch. Didn't really "play" with it much, as "simulator" mode wasn't as helpful as running it while actually at the lake.

Make sure you put the correct fuse in the line to your unit with whatever 12v power source you end up with.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

I just used an old laptop cord with 12v 3a output spliced into an extra power cord into my helix. Beats sitting outside in cold when it’s 35 outside.
