    Default Garmin 73 sv help

Hoping somebody can help teach an old dog new tricks. Just installed a 73 sv ( non chirp) and my side images have a lot of clutter in the water column. I have not been able to figure out what fish look like on side view. Sorta the same deal on down view. Transducer is the cv 40. Anybody know a good YouTube video or something else that can help me with settings?
    thanks

When in side or down/clearvu, hit menu and then brightness. Set your brightness to about 65% to 70%. This should help clear up some of the clutter. The Brightness is what Garmin calls the sensitivity. The higher you set the brightness, the more the transducer will pick up. Lowering the brightness will pick up the strongest returns. Fish will show up as white dots on sideview mostly and downview as well

Also, when in traditional view adjust the Gain in the menu settings to remove clutter.
