Default Image quality on Garmin 73SV

Having trouble with image quality on side imaging. Is there a trick on settings or transducer position to get better images. The images don't seem to be as clear as I was hoping. Thanks for any input.

Cray- My image isn't awful, but I would be interested in hearing more to fine tune it. Thanks!

Do you have any pictures of your side imaging? That would prob help, If you know where some rocks or brush is at go over it with the down imaging and then go by it with the side image. Post the pics. Also what unit do you have the 1st gen had 3 round plugs that plug in, the 2nd had the plugs that screw in most are chirp, now they have the pus thats touch screen and now the ultra high def is the latest and greatest. Also what transducer ? I have 1 reg chirp 73 dv and a 73 plus dv and a 93 sv chirp. And they do ok on the side view, not as clear as humminbird, I have heard that the new uhd models are a lot better on side imaging. I like the down imaging.
