    Default Transducer problem?


    I have a gen1 helix 10 di that works on demo mode but is showing crazy depth readings and is not scrolling so I think it could be the transducer, does anyone know which transducer I need for this model?

    Are you on the water not being on water your transducer will not work. The demo mode needs to be turn off.

    Yes on the water the depth might read correct for a few seconds but not show any bottom contour then it jumps to hundreds of feet deep and stops scrolling p

    Might try a soft reset. Mine started showing crazy temperature readings, like over 100°. A soft reset cleared it up. Kinda like rebooting a computer.

    Have you done the updates on your unit. I know lots of people have had that issue. Think the latest update was supposed to resolve that issue. I’m sure rickie will get in here with some good info that will help.

    All the guys above have good info ...

    *1st try Restore Defaults under the Setup tab ...
    *Then try updating software ...
    *Then test your head unit on a different (or friend's) xducer ...
    *Then test another (or friend's) xducer on your head unit ....
    *Then call HB 1-800-633-1468
