Trolling batteries dead?
I have a 5 month old Ulterra and it makes 3 beeps when pushing the power button. Then it goes dead!! After 1 to 2 hours running the big motor and fishing without a TM it may power up then. Any thoughts? I checked the battery terminals and they seem all tight.

I charge them after every use, both are less than a year old. They shouldn't be a problem
From how you described it earlier sounded possible that the main motor was charging them while it ran

You need to check the batteries with a meter or pull and have load toasted. Also check wiring connections at back of dash panel plug and connections to plug on trolling motor. Definatley loosing power somewhere in that circuit.

I don't think the big motor is charging the TM batteries they are in the front of the boat in a separate compartment. They have their own on board charger.
Check the charge in your trolling motor batteries, charge them check voltage ( un hook them ) let them sit for a day or two and check voltage again, just because they are new doesn't mean a thing any more. A load test will not necessarily show a bad battery. I have gone thru 3 new Deka batteries in the last 18 months when they would sit they would drop on voltage.
Wanted to give a big thumbs up to Ryan at Chip's Marine. I have been having trouble with an Ulterra TM. It would not power on. Left it at Chip's Sunday afternoon, as expected it worked fine for them at the shop. Put it in the water today and it died in the deploy position. Managed to get it to the dock and Ryan met me there, he took it apart boat sitting in the water and got it working it worked for a couple hours till the wind drove me off the water. Hopefully problem solved for good
