Mine is mounted to the motor, I can see behind underneath and infront, quiet well I may add, I can see 10’ to the rear of the transducer, it’s good for watching fish swim by my baits

Do you find it problematic with the TM moving a lot?

Not at all, the motor is gonna be pointed at what I’m headed to, I got a remote so I can turn it to look around or find say a stump and hit a button and it’ll take me to said stump and be looking at it and the fish sitting on it and see my bait and watch the fish ignore my bait, works well, atleast for me

Size: 42.9 KB I designed this using a Bicycle quill that Crappie Chatt sent to me as a handle that fits the XI5 shaft perfectly. The Key ring retainer came from Home Depot and was the heaviest duty they had. (I could use one a bit stronger). I used coil wire wrap to wrap the transducer cables and small black zip ties every couple of inches. The system itself works extremely well and does not allow the cables to get wrapped around the XI5 when it decides to wig out go past 360 degrees, the cable stays put. That's when the extra chain gets pulled out with the chain wrapping around the TM. I also zip tied the ring around the cable so it would not slide on the cable. That takes a couple of tries getting it into the right position. It stows perfect. I'm just careful when I deploy and stow. Go ahead, I know it's pure Genius! Lol, but it works great and I will claim rights if anyone starts mass producing this idea.

I got used to the TM moving while in anchor mode. Just have to see which way TM is pointing when it shows the structure/fish.

Correction Pappy, Livescope comes with mounting for shaft OR motor. Mine is mounted to the motor on the Port side of the motor. Note* There are certain ways to point the transducer depending on which side of the motor it's mounted. Simply follow the instructions for pointing the transducer.

Now, I do understand that the pictured trolling motor has a 2d sonar IN the motor head casing ... and that person may have decided to forego the DI sonar of the Livescope, just so they could mount it like it is, and that's fine. But, personally, I wouldn't substitute ANY 2d sonar for any DI sonar, especially the Livescope version. But, that's just me.
Livescope shows up to 10-15' behind whatever direction it's pointed. The 2d sonar is incorporated into the regular DS/SS ducer and is stationary. That ducer mounts under the TM motor and has no effect on the Livescope. I have a good friend that just purchased a 93sv plus for the livescope and a 73sv plus for Mapping/Down and Sidescan so he wouldn't have to push buttons other than marking waypoints. Contact Brian at BBG Marine and he'll set you up. Best Customer service ever!
