Is a new Terrova head worth it
I have an older Terrova TM and am not pleased with the spotlock on it. I also have a Humminbird Gen 3 that should interact with the new head. I am going to start fishing brush piles more and want to be able to stay in a position better than I can now. I don't need a new TM I just need an better spotlock. Will it be worth the money to get an updated head for my TM?
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

I have a new Terrova and a new gen3 HB. Spot lock works very well for me. So yes, it is worth it. Sorry to hear though that there is not an upgrade path for you.

You can upgrade an older Terrova to the newer Bluetooth system with a heading sensor. Most choose not to because of the cost ($600), you have to change a lot of parts.
