Is the depth on a manual setting deeper than actual water depth ...??
(I assume you are testing on the water) ...
Rickie
Hey guys,
Hopefully someone can help me solve my depth finder problem. I’ve got a striker 4 mounted on the bottom of my trolling motor with the mounting bracket and zip tie/strap. It reads temperature, time, and voltage just fine. It doesn’t show the depth at all though. It scans and shows a quarter inch red line and a half inch red line periodically but that’s it. I’ve played with the gain, and frequency but haven’t gotten anywhere. I’m fairly certain it’s mounted level (I’ve even tilted it to see if that was the issue). My thought is it doesn’t have a solid connection to my battery? The wire is sitting under the trolling motor “U” connections on the battery and screwed down with a nut to hold them on the battery terminal. Hopefully someone wiser than me knows the solution.
Thanks

Testing on the river, correct. Depths range from 0-35/40 feet
It’s on auto setting but I did go through and try adjusting manual depth to no avail.
Thanks

Not sure if the 4 has it, but on my bigger Striker units you have to go in the settings and select which transducer you have. Maybe run through that and double check that you have the right one selected.
