Default garmin 93 versus garmin 94

looking at getting a head unit to match up with the livescope lvs32, what are the differences in the two head units (93 vs 94), or what would y'all recommend, i have thought about a 10'' unit but there nearly twice the price for 1'' bigger, garmin makes nice stuff but they sure are proud of it!

The 94 is for off shore use.

If you can swing it , I highly recommend getting the biggest screen you can for the livescope. I would buy a used larger unit instead of a new 9"

if you had to pick a unit to run with the livescope what would you pick? i know there is a huge difference to me on my helix 12 to the 9, but that is on si looking 100' to either side, with the livescope you only looking what 60' -80' ahead? but i get the bigger the better more detail you can actually see, i went with a fella though that had the 9'' screen and my goodness i couldn't imagine it getting much more detailed, and i know its just green paper but i only have so much of it!

Well, I bought a low end 10” that ended up with a small issue. As I negotiated with Garmin on replacement I asked about an upgrade. They credited me with an extra amount for my new, but problematic machine, then discounted the 8610xsv and got it to me in two days. The difference was unbelievable even though both were Garmin and both were 10 inch. Just saying...

which one was the "low end" 10' screen, so you are very satisfied with the 8610xsv, i am only looking for a unit to view the livescope, i will continue to use my dependable birds for si and mapping

GPSMAP 1022xsvand it worked just fine. What I did not know I was missing was the glass screen with significantly enhanced pixels (I may be using the wrong nomenclature), touch screen (improves usability of menu changing significantly), and the fantastic definition of all other functions. Yes, I love my Helix 10 Mega everything but now just use it for SI in conjunction with LS for locating brush and once located it is relegated to a split screen with DI and Nav. I use the waypoints as an electronic marker keeping me situated near brush and the LS to focus on fish. Here is an example.

That 1022 was the exact one I was looking at above the 93, the bundle with that 1022 is 2699.99, and that’s low end?? Goodness I’m not sure about all that
