Default Minn Kota US2 on powerdrive

Hey guys I needs some help. Looking at finally upgrading my trolling motor. Looking at the Powerdrive minnkota with US2 and BT and Ipilot. Question is how is the US2 transducer? will my DI work with that?
Also will I know I can use the US2 with my 899 or 597 but not sure about Ipilot on the 899. Thanks.

The US2 is only a DualBeam 83/200khz transducer and will not provide imaging. If you want to connect a 899ci SI model to the US2, you would need to change the connected transducer to a 83/200khz setting which may be "Generic 83/200khz" depending on available selections. You would also need the minnkota MKR-US2-8 US2 adapter cable.

If you have just basic Ipilot TM, there is no connection to any fishfinder. The Link version is an ethernet connection with compatible ethernet capable Humminbird models. The ethernet connection is not for a sonar connection. Link will allow commands from a Humminbird unit and additional storage space for spotlock waypoints, itracks, etc. Follow the Contour function can only be initiated from a Humminbird unit with a Link model TM and Lakemaster or Autochart map.

Do I have to have anything extra such a GPS for the spot lock feature?

The GPS receiver is built into the TM head and spot lock is initiated with the remote after pairing it with motor.

I have decided to go with a terrova without the US2. It has Ipilot and BT. Is that a better decision than the Powerdrive? The ipilot is compatible with my 899. Thanks for the input. God Bless!

If it is a I-Pilot/Link model then it would be compatible with the 899 model with latest software. May want to check on routing options for the transducer cable on the newer Terrova models.
