    Default LiveScope lessons wanted

I posted a more detailed message on the Texas state forum but I would like lessons on my new Garmin 1022/Panotix LiveScope. Rickie and others helped immeasurably on learning more about my Helix 10 but I would gladly pay for lessons online or on the water or in a classroom. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Wish you were closer, I'd gladly show you what I've learned so far. Overall really pretty simple to operate. Mainly only need to adjust gain, depth, and distance. I like my gain set a little high which makes the picture a little fuzzy but it's eaiser to see fish and your bait. I set my distance 40 to 60 feet when searching and use 20 to 30 feet when fishing brush or docks. I have my transducer on a seperate pole as well. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to help. It will change the way you fish.

Garman has great support, get on the water and give them a call and they will help you set it up

No expert by any means, but Roy is spot on. Run the gain from 65 to 75 in most water conditions. TVG Med to off and noise rejection on low. Turn up the color gain as much as you can stand. It will not give you the prettiest picture, but will give you the most information. I have always been terrible at crappie fishing, but with the livescope, so far this year it has been easy. After a few trips, you will be able to tell the difference from bluegill and the crappie, and be able to tell how many bass are in the brushpile with them. Is your 1022 touch or non touch?

Thanks everyone. Between some great videos and on water exercises I am starting to get a grasp on the first couple of screen pages. Many others after those first two but at least I have a start. I really appreciate the coaching. Dennis

I have been using Active Captain for some gorgeous videos. Will try to take some still photos of the 1022 with fish on it and post them. Thanks.

Here are a few. The Active Captain produces some neat videos. These pics are not very good with too much light and reflection but I will do better.
