Default Garmin 93sv+ marking waypoint in history?

How do you do it, or can it even be done. All I can fine is either mark at current location, pick a spot on the gps chart or enter coordinates. Can’t find a courser to scroll back and mark a feature that works. Let’s say you tap the down image screen and it brings up a full screen and freezes it. You and swipe back and view it and cross hairs with come up but it won’t let me put a waypoint at the cross hairs. Only management options are the ones a listed already.

I hope I’m missing something but have looked in the manual and don’t see anything.

Recently I saw a video in which the guy was using SV and simply tapped the screen once, moved the crosshairs and saved the waypoint. Simple, or so I thought. Today I tried the same thing on the water and only saw crosshairs once and could not move them or save the waypoint. So, I will be interested in any knowledgible responses.

I can tap the screen to freeze it then drag the image back and touch the place I want to mark and the cross hair / cursor will be there but will not put a waypoint at that location. All my Lowrance units will by simply using the cursor to scroll back and hit MARK.

P21 Creating a waypoint on the sonar screen:
    1. Menu - Pause sonar
    2. Select location
    3. Select New Waypoint or Select
    4. If desired edit waypoint information, such as name.

I'll try it next time I am on the water...

That’s everything I was doing except hitting the little upside down tear drop looking thing in the upper right. Hopefully that is the key. As intuitive as the Garmin is you would think it would know or ask to mark at cursor.

    BTW Thanks WindTalker

Ok I found it in the manual, it’s under the sonar section and not the waypoint section. I was doing everything correct except hitting the little tear drop thing. Had me worried as that’s an important feature for me.
