    Default New Helix 8 cover

I have a new boat with a new Helix 8 at the console. I don’t like spending all that money and not protecting the new Helix. I haven’t been able to find a travel cover for it. Any recommendations?

Ripnlips has a great one that Velcro’s on the bottom while traveling.

Thanks for that link JPS, but I want a travel cover and they don’t seem to be available anywhere. The description says not for use while trailering.

That is the same cover that came with my Helix 9. It may not be ideal but I can tell you from "real world experience" that mine stays on while towing up to 75mph. Over that speed I can't say for sure. Mine is mounted outboard on the console and takes the full force of the wind. So far, no issues.

Thanks for that feedback! Maybe I will take a harder look at it, if I can find some that has them in stock.

Can you give a review on it once you get it and have used it?

I've been looking for a cover myself for the Helix 8 - I've always liked the neoprene ones but I haven't found one yet that fits the 8. This Ripalip one seems like it might work, not sure I like it's loose fitting though, curious if it flaps around any on the highway.

I have used mine on my Helix 10 for several months and it is great. It does not flap in transit. It has two Velcro straps the strap across the bottom and secures the cover perfectly.
