    Default Hummingbird helix 7 question

I have the Helix 7 Chirp, G2 Gps DI unit and I am wanting to put a transducer on my terrova trolling motor to be able to get Down imaging, which transducer would be the best to buy?

Now you can use your stock transducer but you going to have narrower cone. If it was me think I would opt for this one.
    Humminbird XTM-9-DI-25-T

If you go to this one a word of caution. When putting the clamps on to hold it to motor, tighten just enough to hold in place. I have see quite a few that are over tightened and breaks the ears off. His one gives you a wider cone angle for moving around slow.

Let me offer a slight correction to cray's part number ...

    The XTM 9 DI 25 T has the same 2d frequencies (200kHz 28°/ 455kHz 16°) as the stock XNT 9 20 T that comes with the HELIX 7 DI ...

    The upgrade TM xducer with the wider 2d cones (200kHz 20°/ 83kHz 60°) is the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T ...:

(the DI in all 3 is the same) ...

And cray's warning of the ears being succeptable to breakage still applies to the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T ...

When looking on that link it says that it's not compatible with the Helix 7

Look under the Sonar tab (in your HB unit) in the "Connected Transducer" Menu ...

If there's an option for "DI + 83/200" your HELIX 7 is compatible with the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T ...
