Default Garmin Good Deal For Live Scope?

I was going to pull the trigger on this, I know it's blue charts but since I am only using it for Live Scope only the maps do not matter to me I get all of my mapping off of my Helix. I thought I'd share this with you all in case any of you are still holding out for a good deal well here ya go!

I’ve been thinking along those lines. I even called Garmin to see if I could switch to the inland maps when upgrading the map software. Unfortunately I was informed that you have to keep the same base map (factory installed) software

My understanding is that the 94 sv is really for salt water in that it has coastal maps and can work in deeper water. But i though it also had the lakes software like my 93sv?

Correct. My 74sv was intended for coast use (have not gone yet) with fresh water maps I use in Lake Austin.

Does this have the same G52 Transducer as the 93SV? Does is have the LakeVu maps?

Just trying to understand the difference between the echomap plus 93 and 94

When a unit says it suports Panoptix does that mean Live vu also. I'm talking about
    Garmin® echoMAP Plus 73sv.

My understanding is yes but you have to purchase a sonar module and tranducer combo. $1500
