    Default Garmin echomap plus 93sv?

For guys that are running this unit. How do you like the sidevu for finding brush? Does the sidevu work good in shallow water?
    Thanks

I went out with mine for the first time a couple weeks ago on Goose Creek Res. It's probably 7-8 ft avg depth. SideVu was looking good, better than my Echomap CHIRP 72 sv on the same GT52HW.

It’s a good unit especially for the $599 sale price and another few bucks for military discount. Most brush is in 14 FOW here and it works fine.

If you have a unit that has the old mapping on it they just came out with lake vu g3. Its a free update if your unit is less than a yr old. I fished lake weiss in alabama and it only had counter lines every 4 ft, now i have 1ft contour lines.

They were on sale almost all winter at Cabelas and BPS. I usually buy my electronics in the off season.

That is just the device software. You will still need to update the maps with garmin express. The update is to large to put on the device. You will need to put it on a SD card. I put mine on my active captain card. Worked great.

Thanks, I could put it on the card also.

To the OP, one of the best things about it is the ease of use, very intuitive unit that works more like a tablet.
