    Default Networking Humminbird core units

If I connect 2 Humminbird core units together without a network box and 1 has the transducer and gps hooked to it and the other has nothing but the pwr cable and network cable, what all will I be able to see on this unit?

Well that depends on which exact core unit models ...

Here is the ethernet sharing grid ...

Main unit is a 1198 and the secondary unit is a 898. Will they share gps data without having everything going to a network box?

A network box is only needed if you have more than 2 network devices....with just those 2 you wll be fine.

It's a PDF file ... so make sure the device you are using supports that document format.

The core units wont share maps, but will share waypoints. You will need 2 map cards for mapping. You will be able to see all the technology from one to the other. You will need to select on the 2nd unit that you want all the data to come from the first unit with the transducer connected to it.
Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!

Be sure and turn sonar off on unit without transducer attached.
