Boat got caught underneath the pier today and partially broke the mount for my HD down image transducer, I wrapped it 10 or 15 times with electrical tape till I can decide how his best to Epoque see it together.
Was wondering if anyone knows how it will affect the fishfinder. Its a hummingbird 899 mounted at the front on the trolling motor. Going to finish tomorrow and Monday then try to Apoxsee them out and leave for a week while I go back to work.
Would also like any specific epoxy is that anyone might have used for this application or something similar

Hard to see in the picture but its cracked right where the metal band goes around and through the mount. Its the recommended ducer for the 899/859. Will take a better picture tomorrow morning

I would scuff it good with some 80 grit sandpaper make sure it is good and clean Acetone, Lacquer thinner wash it out into and around the crack. I would take a piece of fiberglass cloth and cover that area at least a half inch around it. Work the epoxy down into the crack place the cloth over it clamp it, once set then take a knife or something sharp and cut the slot for the clamp.

That's gonna be hard to fix to get to stay fixed.
Use some j b marine weld and it will hold.
