If anyone can give me some advice on copying files from one ZLC to another ZLC? I saved the mapping data from my Helix 10 G2 to a ZLC and imported the data into the PC Autochart Pro. The files are .acu from the Helix model and Im trying to copy and transfer that info onto a second ZLC to use in the bow mounted Helix. I just cant make it work. Any help would be appreciated and tight lines to everyone.

Sorry for the delay Rickie-sahn, 0 HB Ninja...lol ...
Unless you messed up your ZLC you are best advised to copy the entire card to a folder or another drive on your PC to work from TO START
There are two folders on the ZLC, the LkMaster directory and the ACDATA directory
Don't mess with the LkMaster folder - it's where all the map outlines live.
The ACDATA folder is where the .ACU files (your user mapping) are stored.
Those need to be copied into that folder from the other ZLC, and the reason I said to work off a copy is if you hose something, you haven't wrecked a $99 SD Card. (Make sense?)
When you bring files into AC PC/ AC PC Pro you are converting them to .ACD files which are processed by the software, if you have not been a BBC member - there's a sticky in the HB section with tutorials Mike Insko a.ka. "Camo Hunter" did a great job making - now there's plenty of a learning curve there - so don't think in 10 minutes you'll be ready to take over the world....LOL
Auto Chart, Auto Chart Pro & Auto Chart Live Information Resource
There's a gob of PDFs giving instruction for nearly anything you would want to know...
When you use the AC PC software you are converting ACL & AC PC files back and forth, the ACL files are read by the HB control head.
To copy ACL data from one card to the other - NO PROCESSING is necessary - you simply copy the files to a HDD/SSD using a card reader and copy them INTO the ACDATA folder - there's an index file, yes but I am pretty sure it will update as you go.
My problem is I know a lot of AC PC but when I'm OTW - I am usually interested in fishing, and an improved map is a secondary function to me - I usually use AC PC for removing bad data points, now the way AC PC was meant to be "used" (and there's a setting to work from local copy - on your PC Drive which is what you want) was to bring in the data, convert it - do any manipulation and "Update" your ZLC with the changes or added/edited data. (Or local copy - which can be updated or manually copied over)
Some guys get angry when they find it's a matter of copying the ACU files to the ACDATA folder after they spent the money on AC PC.
IF you have identical file names from 2 sources, DO NOT overwrite the file or one set of data points WILL be lost.
At that that point STOP and add a letter or change a number in the ACU file name (you're being prompted to replace - bail on the copy/over-write for the moment)) so both sets of data points live together.
If you have older map data, you may HAVE TO bring it into AC PC, convert to ACD and "update" (output to ACU) format and reload it to the ZLC (back as ACU) as HB has changed the file formats a time or two when weed detection & bottom detection was added to the fray.
I fish in cold water most often, so weed detection is a non-issue and I can see on 2D the bottom hardness = with MSI & MDI I have enough detail below so I don't use it.
Now if you need more info on AC PC Pro, I'm limited on help - I have a copy of Pro but it's not installed, Ive been using the standard version for a while and time has been short for me as of late.
Rickie can supply you with my email, if need be - or just know my user name is just that @T gmailDOTcom.
I try to answer within a day if I can, the alarm goes @ 3:15AM and tonight I am about done and actually didn't touch ANYTHING I wanted to work on tonight.
HTH!

Thanks Robert. This was what I was looking for with confirmation about AC pro not being needed to copy the files from one card to the next. I did save the data from original ZLC to my hard drive and use it to copy and paste onto the #2 ZLC. I still can’t make it display the recorded data. I made sure each folder contained the same info as the original but I’m missing something somewhere. The #2ZLC displays on the AC pc but not the Helix. I even tried it in both Helix models to make sure it wasn’t a internal setting preventing it from displaying. No luck. Both Helix display original ZLC perfectly. I’m just scratching my head. Thanks for the input.
Then I try to would bring the files into AC PC, "map here" and "update" the local copy - then copy that all over and see, it may be the index file or just that there are 2 different file formats because of the hardness/weed detection layers and try it.

Yesterday was the first time I heard the words Zero Line Card and it was used talking about Autochart Live . I just got my Helix 7 Gen2 and it only takes the Micro card -- Now i take it you can not just use a micro card with AutoChart -- I can barely Cut Copy and Paste
The Zero Line card is a micro card in an SD card adapter (unless you happened to buy 1 of the very 1st Zero Line cards that came out which were full size SD card only - I have one) ...
The Zero Line card is used when you want more than the internal 8hr memory of AutoChart Live capability of the unit ...
The Zero Line card is also used when creating maps in the AutoChart PC programs - to export those PC maps to the Zero Line card to be used in AutoChart capable HB units ...

So a 32 GB Micro card would just be good for stuff like downloading Waypoints , tracks, and Routes before the Restore Defaults Feature would be used
