I never have, and if anybody's fingers could scratch up a screen it would be me,in the summer my wife says my hands feel like a combo of emery cloth,Brillo pad,and grinder wheel.
I'm looking at the Elite 9 ti2 and Elite 7 ti2. Should a person put screen savers on them to protect the screen?

Every screen protector I've tried created a mirror-like reflection of the screen ...
So which is more important - protection or maximum image clarity ...??

I have always had my best results navigating the touch screen with my Pinky finger...My pointer finger skin gets to hard and callused it only works about have the time.
I have glass type screen protectors and soft warm hands. I also have grandkids that still believes in Santa Claus.
The glass is easy to clean and doesn’t smear like the orig screen. I have a Carbon 9 and not any sun glare issues.
