    Default Hook2 4x

Anybody had any experience with the base model lowrance hook2 4x? I grabbed one last year for my kayak and the one time I got to use it I didn't really like it. It seemed like there was a lack of ability to customize settings and the factory settings were awful. Maybe it's just me

Sorry, my 'yak ff is the Hook2-5, not the 4x. I thought the 2D was OK, the DI not so much. I definitely caught way more fish than I did when I didn't have any electronics.

I just purchased the Hook2 4x for my Kayak which is also my first FF for open water. I have not had a chance to try it out yet. I'm hoping it will help find fish LOL

I own one have have been pleased with it. I just took it off the boat as I upgraded to a 7" Garmin. However, I had no complaints about the Lowrance. It helped me locate fish, structure and brush piles, even got to where I could see fish on the DI mode quite well.

Mine doesnt have di it's the base 2d model. The color is good but all the automatic features make it hard to adjust it for me, but I'm also more familiar with an elite 7, an hds, and the dragonfly setups
