threw in?? A terrova with I-pilot comes with a foot pedal, the Power Drive doesn't.

I know, this motor didn't have one but he had a good used one to go with it.

If you got a good deal on it ... any Ipilot is better than no Ipilot .... Cray was right on with his post about how do you use it.

The benefit of the Terrova is that you can have the foot pedal hooked up and still use the remote control ... but you don't need to have it hooked up. I keep my foot pedal in the boat not hooked up most of the time just to have it available but keep it out of the way.
Being that it is a used motor .... make sure you fully test the foot pedal and all remote functions while you still have a warranty.

I got it powered up last night, everything seems to work okay. The weather is finally supposed to improve, so I'm hoping to get it out tomorrow or Friday and see how it does.

Can't believe how much quieter it is than my old Powerdrive.

    Couple of tips:
1.Keep a couple of spare batteries for your remote in the boat.
    2. I don't hook the pedal up but keep on hand in case the remote malfunctions. Mine never has but the battery did die on me once. Batteries are not hard to find at places like Walmart or my Walgreens carries them. However if you are off somewhere and need one you might have to drive 30 miles to find one.

You are going to love the Ipilot, especially if you fish alone sometimes.

Also be sure to get the lithium version of the battery. You can get that battery version that is not lithium by accident.

If you search for the battery on Amazon, you can get a pretty good sized pack of them pretty cheap compared to buying from a local store.....they do last pretty good.

I've had the motor on the water a couple times now. Still figuring out how to use it.

The spot lock seems to drift about 6-10ft before it starts to correct. Not bad, pretty close to what I'm already used to. I haven't had any trouble with it over correcting.

That’s pretty good. I’d be happier if mine were that accurate. Hope you enjoy it!
