Question Adding GPS coordinates to a HB 999

How do I do this without visiting each location and marking it? I have a list of GPS coordinates on the lake I fish and would like to add them to my 999 unit. But I'm lazy and would like to do it without visiting each location if it is possible.

I've read the HB literature and manuals and find plenty of information on how to import and export data from one machine to another. But I have not found anything about how to add GPS coordinates manually without visiting and marking the locations.

I can add them to a card but I don't know the HB required format for this information.

I appreciate any advice, tips or instructions on how to do this.

download Humminbird PC and install it on your computer. enter your gps coordinates on hb pc then save to sd card then insert card in 999 and upload waypoints. easiest way to do multiple gps coordinates.

Thanks. I installed Humminbird when I first bought. Used it the first six months and haven't used it since. My mistake, not keeping up to date on it since I did not know you could manually add gps coordinates this way.

This guy has a video of tips and tricks on just about anything humminbird. You can do it as acid says on computer or do it this way on unit. If you do on unit then take a blank sad card and down load them to card. Then upload them to computer to save and keep card in boat. That way you always have a copy. Also good practice to down load any new way points yo create to the card. That way if your at the lake, unit messes up, you have to do a factory reset to get it going and it wipes out everything, just grab your card and reinstall.

Great advice from both of you and a good video. I am going to watch more of his videos to see what other tricks I can pick up.

I am going to do it both ways to see which is the easiest for me.

Thanks the help you both provided.

You can also create waypoints and tracks in Google Earth Pro and convert them to HB format for use.
