Default Cornfield Livescope TM Transducer Mount

Who is using the Cornfield Crappie Livescope Terrova/Ulterra trolling motor transducer mount and what are your thoughts on it? It looks like a dang good well made AMERICAN part but I want some opinions before I drop that kind of money. I really don’t want to mount a stand alone unit on the front of my boat as that would just be another thing taking up room on the front of the boat.

Have used their mounts for several applications and have not been disappointed one bit.

I have one of their Cable Savers to run a ducer for my Ulterra. It has worked well and is well made. The only thing I have done to modify it was to add a spring to the top mount in order to keep the coiled tubing tighter. Prior to adding the spring the tubing got caught in my TM while stowing and locked it up. It wouldn't deploy or stow. The bottom mount on that one looks far enough away from the foot that the spring might not be needed.

It is an outstanding product that allowed me to put the Mega transducer on my trolling motor and throw the internal 2D transducer in the trash. Unbelievable pics and clarity on my Helix 10. I highly recommend it. I merely tightened up the extra coiled tubing so did not have to add a spring. Yes, before I adjusted the coil issue it got caught while retrieving. No issue since.

The reason I didn't adjust the tubing and shorten it was because it's just gonna keep stretching and I don't want it to run out of slack for spinning.

Reckon they all fit differently. I shortened the coil just about 6 inches by pulling it through the upper clamp. Still plenty of slack for rotation but no longer gets in the mount when the TM retracts.

Their mount is the best on the market. Manufactured right here in the US. Give Mark a call and he will get you set up with the best mount for your particular setup.

I sold a kidney and bought the Livescope and teamed it with Echomap Plus 93SV. It is worth every penny! I love technology especially when it comes to fishing. I did not mount it to the trolling motor. I made a Transducer Tiller handle to clamp on to the side of my boat and made the unit to be portable from front to back of boat. Also, I can point it different directions other than trolling motor. I used it tight lining and can adjust all my baits to depths of the fish targets and actually watch the fish interact with bait. This past weekend, I changed to long line trolling and moved the unit to back of boat. I can see the jig pulling depth of my jig being pulled 55 feet behind boat. I watch the fish turn on jig and chase it down and bite bait before my rod moves! It is amazing! I have also watched fish ignore my offering and it will be frustrating but it tells me they don't want that color or need to change presentation. I have been crappie fishing for a long time and fished tournaments. This technology backs up some of my knowledge and proves some of my knowledge dead wrong with pulling depths!

It's funny that you mentioned that. I got my son to tell his momma that we were gonna sell one of his kidneys to buy one. LOL

That is great to know that you can tell the depth of your jig while pulling jigs. I fish that way a good bit and that is awesome info to know. Thanks for posting.
