    Default new boat

I recently bought a new boat and am looking for information on depth finders with down and side imaging. I want to install the ulterra trolling motor on my boat. I plan on starting with one new depth finder to begin with. I figure wht better pace to get feedback than Crappie.com. any information would be very helpful.

I prefer Humminbirds but that's just personal preference. All top manufacturers are good. The more you spend the better you get. As far as size, get the biggest that will fit your space and/or that you can afford.

    I bought a helix 9mega, wish i'd have gotten the 10 or 12

I too like the hummingbird helix units, I want one that has down and side image on it. How about the mega image, have you used it or is it worth all the hype. I plan on fishing as much as I can and just want to make it easy for me.

I have a mega 9 and a mega 10. There is a big difference in the images. The 10 is superior. It has more screen pixels per square inch. You may want to consider the Ulterra bluetooth with I-link if you want to control it with the mega. I have the 2018 model Ulterra without I-link. I don't have any need to have it interact with my depth finder.
