    Great looking images for those depths. Really hoping this new transducer is compatible with my Mega G2N unit.
    Really think the new lowQ 2d transducer really improves the 2d images. I have one on my new Mega DI unit.

    Unfortunately, only the new 2D Dual Spectrum CHIRP transducers are back-ward compatible. Not the new MEGA MDI / MSI transducers.

    Boo, hiss, boo to Humminbird. Basically making you spend $2,000 instead of $400 if you want their new transducer. Lowrance made their current Carbon models compatible with their latest improvements without having to buy a whole new system. Shame on Humminbird, decisions like this have a way of biting you in the long run. I understand some things are not backward compatible and new stuff is obsolete by the time you get it home but this is basically a new transducer.
