Mistake on my part when I said I would be using it with DI. Actually it will be with 2D on the US2. Looking at the new Helix 7 DI G3N. Does it have 2D compatibility with the US2?

Not 100% sure of that yet ...

None of the previous HB DI units were compatible with US2 ...

Wow, another Internet Expert dialing in on something he knows nothing about.

My fishing buddy and I run his Livescope on our boats (a portable setup) and it is excellent at what it does. We can steer around fish holding areas easily keeping on the fish no matter the direction from the boat. Seeing fish under docks is amazing.

We fish pushing jigs and it is extremely helpful seeing both the exact jig/weight depth but we can actually see fish come up and hit the jig. Or watch them come up, investigate, then swim away. That's where we start trying other color combinations until we find out what they want instead of what they ignore.

Instead of making snide remarks about Tarpon and swimming humans, you ought to actually learn about the units.

Internet expert, wow that's funny! I'm glad your happy with Livescope. I would love to actually go with someone who has one on their boat to actually see one in person.
I love learning about units, that's why I use this forum. I have yet to see but a couple of videos that actually show me any images of crappie swimming around structure in 20+ feet of water. Most videos I've seen show much larger fish than crappie and yes several show humans swimming. Glad you are enjoying your livescop. I'm enjoying my Helix SI Mega, the fish may not be swimming under a dock but I sure can see them. To each their own. New technologies will keep coming, some we will like, others are not for everyone.Name: marina and crappie.jpg

Hold it a bit closer to the camera. It will grow before your very eyes.

    Tom,
I'm not sure what your problem with me is, time to lighten up a little bit. Your happy with your Livescope, great. I'm happy with my Birds. To each their own. No need to make this personal. Let's just go fishing!

My buddy is adding a Garmin unit and Livescope this winter to his Bird set up, I can't wait to see it in person from some of the videos I've seen, this one is very impressive.
