    Default Lowrance elite questions

I was thinking of doing a hook 2 7x with triple shot so i can have side scan for my sundolphin pro 120. I would also like a big screen without paying a big premium who wouldnt? I have seen that you can network with the elite so you can pair a tablet and work off of it and have a big screen and buy the 5” unit and sace some bucks. Is this possible and what tablet do i need to do this? Also! Does networking mean i can have a bow mounted transducer and switch between front and rear transducers? Ideally ide like to troll and see whats directly under me. Can i do (1) elite 5 mounted on the rear to see while cruising with a tablet next to it for a big screen? With a tablet up front to see while running the troll motor, transducer in the back to cruise the lake and scan and one on the bow while trolling and switch between the two off the 1 elite unit. Or am i going to have to buy a unit for the rear and a unit on the bow? Both with tablets paired individual?

this would be my first unit and first boat. Ill be getting this stuff befinning of the year so putting a game plan together so i can make the most of my time on the water

Lowrance quit making the Elite 5ti this year.

    1. You can only hook up on transducer to the unit, like a total scan and you cannot share sonar between another unit, such as a HDS or another Elite ti unit.
    2. Yes on you can connect Elite 5ti to an iPad and used that as monitor like you want to.
    3. You can only connect one iPad to elite 5ti, so you couldn’t connect 2 iPads at the sometime (to that one specific Elite 5 ti unit)
4 you can have two Elite 5 ti and each unit could be paired to its individual iPad.

The one thing about a iPad is in the sun, alittle hard sometimes to read or see. Get a LifeProof waterproof case for it.

It works with my Elite 7ti. As mentioned, the sun can make it difficult to see at times. My other issue is from the front of the boat, I am viewing what’s happening at the back. You can control the unit from the iPad, which is nice. Truthfully, I don’t utilize it as much as I probably should. The big reason is I have never invested in a waterproof case for my iPad. My suggestion is to contact Brian at BBG Marine. I can almost assure you of the best price, and priceless advice.
