    What size wires should I use to connect unit to battery on an elite 5?

    Good marine grade Wire is very reasonable ... use bigger than you think you may need and don't share power with anything else on the same wire pair ...

    And use twisted pairs. If you can't buy it, its easy to make. This will help eliminate any possibilities of interference.
