For sure. It's all over every board on Facebook and a couple of other places. It made a bad thing even worse this time for sure. Once again they are saying they are aware and working to correct it.
FYI... Humminbird as their latest update (1.84) replacing software 1.64. Their are many issues with the update especially with ipilot link. I learned this the hard way. Should have done more research before updating. HB is supposedly working on a fix.

+1 Doesn't work on Helix 10 SI Gen1 model when using Ipilot/Link (Ultrex). Not sure if other Link models will work but with Ultrex it will start cycling on/off as soon as the Link connects. Only way it would work is turn the TM off or disconnect the ethernet connection. I asked during a phone call to HB if I could revert back to 1.64 and was advised not to but seems others have done so without problems.
Humminbird is on a very questionable course. Seems like they are bound and determined to destroy their reputation with consumers. The one and only reason my Helix 10 G2 mega is still on my boat. Is it's ability to co-operate with the Minnkota I-link. Most specifically follow the contour feature.
If I were in charge of Humminbird. There would be a lot of software engineers sweating their continued employment. Updating my Garmin units is such a breeze compared to Humminbird's restore defaults prior and after update. Plus I don't have to disconnect anything.
Too darn bad they did not learn a thing. This kinda crap all started with the Onix/Ion series.
Garminarmin gpsmap 1040 xs networked with Garmin gpsmap 1242 xsv , Panoptix PS 30 and PS 31. Livescope LVS 32
Ice rig Echomap Ultra 106SV with LVS 12 and GT10-IF
Is that the only issue with the update? I don’t use or have link with my TM. Will the update screw anything else up with a Mega Unit?

I would do some research with the model you have before doing the update or wait for the revision update when they come out with one.

Think I will wait. my Mega 9 runs just fine with last update they had and been reading on bbc forum about this update and see no need to take the chance of screwing things up this close to end of my fishing season. I feel the need to hunt anyways.

Thank you for the heads up fellas. X3 on HB's heading...
Is upgrading from 1.64 (or what prior latest was) really going to give me anything I need? Running 899 and Helix G1 SI and Terrova iPilot Link.

The problem with 1.83 and Ipilot/Link was corrected and turned out to be related to the Auto Upload Data setting under Ipilot Menu. The correction was to revert back to the older software and change the setting to Off before uploading the new software. Afterwards, the setting can be changed as needed.
