If you are back in action that is great....Otherwise when my old in dash round flasher went belly up I spent about $100 and bought a Lorance replacement....Works great while motoring....

Snagged, I will keep that in mind. Flint has one in the mail on its' way here to me, so I am hopeful that takes care of it. In the meantime, I experimented on the one I have with the broken cable. I used a pencil die grinder to cut away at the filler material that contains the puck. I carefully removed the puck from the cork lining which surrounds it, and soldered the cable back to it. Pretty straight forward......I think. Anyway, resealed the puck back into the transducer body and will try it on my next days off. Here is a pic of the repaired (questionable) transducer.

If it’s ticking and clicking it will probably work. Generally if you hold the ducer three feet above a hard surface and get a bottom reading of six or so feet it is working.
