Proof of concept. Hoping to have the new pedal finished later this week, the messy setup right now is experimental.

Very good and simple. I use that same remote on my transducer deploy apparatus and also remote control for my aft trolling motor wit tiller handle. I added n steering motor and made a lift that raises/lowers the TM. Same principles.

Cheap fix from China. Be careful wit that remote. Warning!!!!!! Don't put it in your pocket!

Forgot to mention this. I added this same remote control to billbob's wife cutting horse trainer. She can control the trainer from the horse. Saves billbob a trip to the barn to flip switches. This was an interesting project.

    Everyone should have one.

This is awesome! I’d love to see the diagram of what you built and try to make one myself. What are the parts you used and where can i get them?

I bought a new Powerdrive last year to put on my new Jon boat.
The motor on my other boat is a manual control, so i had never used a foot control.
The new motor has an 18’ power cord, so i can use it anywhere on the boat.
I was having trouble using the foot control, so i decided trying it by hand.
Thats been over a year ago and i still havent tried my foot again.
I would think it might also be a bit easier on the unit, but i guess time will tell on that.
I had noticed on one of Ed Dukes old videos that he appeared to be doing the same thing.
When i placed an order with him i asked him about it and he said yes, thats what he did also.
But he has since replaced the motor with one having a remote.
