Ok, I haven't called H'bird yet.. I went fishing Thursday afternoon and it didn't act as crazy.

I don't know what transducer I have, so I wouldn't know what to set the unit to, if I knew how to set the unit. LOL All I know is it's mounted to my TM and it's sorta teardrop shaped.

somewhere along the cord to the 'ducer there should be a number on it. I think up near the end that plugs into the unit.

All the models come with a transom mounted style transducer and that model transducer is the default setting for Connected Transducer. If you're using a DI model, then you should swap the included transducer for a TM version. They come with added shielding in the cable to help prevent RFI or noise. There have been other issues posted for depth reading problems as you describe with MEGA units but your image looks like there's some interference. So, don't know if that swap was made if you have a DI model but that requires an unopened transducer for the exchange. Don't know if anyone has successfully confirmed the MEGA depth issue with HB but have seen posts that HB is aware and may be a software problem. Regardless of the other potential issue (double depth readings), verifying you have the correct transducer can help. The below image is the MEGA DI model transducer (transom). If it looks like this, then part of your problem may be RFI noise from the TM.

Thanks for the info. What screen is the transducer selection on?
