Well I cut the Male end off the extension cord, installed battery terminal adapters connected it to the battery and plug the clamp light into female end of the extension cord and nothing happened. It seemed such a simple setup but it didnt work and I dont know what I did wrong or what I can do fix it. Please advise.

If you are using led lights, they have to be + to + and - to -. They won't work any other way. Swap your leads on the battery and see if that works.

That didnt work, it must have something to do with the extension cord. Maybe I should just try to connect the light directly to the battery. What do you think?

Ulcajuns if you are using any bulbs for a 12v battery they got to be rated dc volts and not AC bulbs. Your regular shop lamp bulbs is 120 volt AC. They will not work with 12 volt dc, You cannot find these dc bulbs ever where. I buy mind from a auto place called Auto Vance.

I appreciate all the help from you guys. I broke down yesterday in a failed search for dc bulbs and bought an inverter. 2 drop lights, 2 clamp lights all worked perfectly for 10 hours. I'm ready to fish. Thanks again guys!
