you will need a ethernet switch. a couple ethernet cables and a ethernet dongle. trolling motor link hooks to ethernet switch and so does both headunits
Steve
I have an H'bird 10 on the bow and a Mega 9 on the console. I have a GPS puck with heading sensor hooked to the bow unit. I also have an Ulterra trolling motor.
My Ulterra is wired to my console unit because it was the first one installed.
What would I need, hardware wise, to hook both units together, both units to the TM and both units to the heading sensor? Or is that all even possible?

Is there any reason a $24 Amazon 12 volt ethernet switch wouldn't work just as well as a $250 MK ethernet switch?
if you tech savvy and want to spend the time to do it. i am sure it can be done. HB made/makes a cable that goes from the m12 to a rj45 to plug in computer AS EC CHART is part number. or buy a HB ethernet cable and cut it and add a rj45 end wire it properly. I know some lowrance guys have did that. so i am sure it can be done with a HB. looks like HB uses udchp routing table so using a 10/100 rj 45 switch should work.
You will not be able share the Heading from the AS GPS HS with Helix models but can share GPS. Assuming you have transom mounted transducer for console unit, then your waypoints created would have an offset. Would recommend a separate AS GRP receiver at transom near transducer for more accurate waypoints if needed.
