yes you can do that, it'll just take longer to charge up
I’ve got a 12v trolling motor. I would like to add a second battery wired in parallel to keep 12 volts but increase my capacity when trolling.
question is, I’ve currently got 1 cranking battery and 1 trolling battery with a 2 bank minn Kota Charger. If I add a second trolling battery in parallel, can I use my two bank charger to charge all 3 batteries? 1 bank for cranking battery and the other bank to charge both parallel batteries?

Had mine wired that way for about 5 years. As WB says, it takes a little longer but if you don't run them completely dead and want to fish 6-7 hrs latter never had a problem with them coming back to full charge.

Thanks guys. Assume you wire to the charger the same way you do to the trolling motor, correct?
Yep, wire to one battery.
