Happened on my 74SV. Called Garmin help line while on the lake and they walked me through a reset and it was fixed. Do not remember steps but have you called them? I get an almost immediate response.

Hit the lake with the wife yesterday and couldn't get my garmin 93sv to power on. No beep, no nothing.
Loaded the boat back up and took it home. I checked battery voltage at the battery, good there. I checked the fuse block, good voltage. I checked at the plug with it disconnected from the mount, again good voltage. Reconnected plug, and checked the pins that feed the unit, all good.
All connections are hovering around 12.4v. I decided to hook the battery charger up to see if that changes anything.
Now i get a beep and the screen will come up with the loading screen and then shut off. I disconnect the transducer cable.
Finally powers up and stays on for a few minutes. But i notice the screen is only displaying 10.5ish volts. Unit shuts off after a few minutes.
I tried different batteries all with the same result.
I bought this unit around hand so no warranty. Any suggestions? No corrosion on any of the terminals.
Frustrated!

Checking the voltage at the plug with it disconnected is testing with no load and the voltage reading won't be relevant .... it will only let you know that you do not have an open circuit. If you have a bad connection it will only show up when there is current flow in the circuit.
Sure sounds like you have some bad connections somewhere in the wiring. Maybe run temporary wires to the battery to test or if you know someone who has a boat you can test your unit on their setup.

Looking for the one that makes it all worthwhile.
Had the same problem on my old Hummingbird once.
I sprayed contact cleaner on the cable and back of unit where it connects- problem solved !

After some more testing, we discovered that there was a based connection inside the cradle on the pcb board. Replaced the cradle and all is well.
At least it was a cheap fix!
