I think you may be right it's hook2 7x

You might look at using this bracket. Depending on where you mount it, you can raise and lower it.

I have a totalscan transducer for my elite. It's mounted on the bottom of the transom step back (fiberglass). Not sure what kind of boat you have but the big transducers are easily susceptible to damage.

That depends on if it's "Splitshot" or "Tripleshot" .... Splitshot is DI & Chirp 2d -- Tripleshot is SI, DI, & Chirp 2d

So, if you're worried about that foot long paddle shaped transdx .... you have Tripleshot.

If you have SI capabilities .... you're going to need to put that transdx somewhere it'll have a clear view out both sides of the boat. The "toons" can't be in the way, nor can the motor ... or your signal will be impeded or blocked on that side. Remember ... the SI signal radiates out at "almost" 180deg (almost from the water's surface on one side of the boat to the water's surface on the other side of the boat).
