Once again, thanks to all that helped me set this up. I’m running the helix 9 mega si DI chirp on the front and helix 7 chirp on the back network from the 9. Both can see the same data input but on different screens. And both units getting power from the cranking battery.
Great fishing machine for a lil boat. Very happy with it.

Not to high jack this thread but this is typically what I want to do. But, my question is this. After liking the 7 to the nine, can I install a high speed transducer that's connected straight to the 7?

I'm a little confused by some of this and need some clarification. I have a 12" SI/di g2n mega and a 10" DI g2n mega. They are networked together. How would I view the SI on the 10"? I looked in the networking options and you can select certain share properties for gps, 2d and temps but the 10" DI unit doesn't give me an option to share the SI transducer.
Yes sir ... Sonar data sources are separated in the networking Menu ... The network will list all sources connected to both units and then you choose which xducer you want which data coming from ...
In the HELIX 7 G2N you should select HB + 83/200kHz in the Connected Transducer Menu under the Sonar tab (when connecting only a 2d xducer to the HELIX 7 G2N) ...
