    does anyone strap the protective cover on their garmin when pulling the boat to the lake,and does the cover keep rain off the screen? thanks for any reply.

    I haven't ever may be a good idea though. It does seem to keep the rain off the screen i also keep a lense cleaner under it while traveling down the road on the 94 and the 7

    thanks for the reply . I haven't used the cover yet ,didn't know if the wind would blow the cover off while towing the boat. it's never been out in the rain,so glad to hear the cover will keep rain off the screen.

    Both of mine are in the backseat until I get to the ramp.

    I leave mine on the boat all the time, the three plugs fit tight don't want to take chance on loosening them by plugging and unplugging everytime I go fishing

    The cables on my Echomap CHIRP 73sv attach to the back of the mount so I just pop the unit into the mount when I'm ready to launch the boat.

    I have been putting my cover on and it hasnt blew off yet.
