    Default Humminbird Helix Temp Reading

Hey guys. I did as much research on this as I could before posting but still not having any luck. Here is what I have.

Console: Helix 10 Mega SI G2N w/ Mega Transducer it came with
    Bow: Helix 10 GPS G2N w/ US2 Via Terrova

They are networked together. Just got the console one on Friday, dealer installed. I can not get any temperature read out on the Console unit. I have the option through networking to use the Bow unit for temperature but I don't really want to since the trolling motor isnt in the water all the time. I did the self test screen on the console unit and it said "temperature - not connected".

Does the mega transducer not do temperature? Or did I get a bad transducer out of the box? Any help is appreciated.

1st try Restore Defaults and test ...
    -----

Remove the cables from the back of the unit and inspect the pins in the "barn shaped" connector for damaged or broken off pins ...

Reset the cable collector in the unit and test ...

If the Accessories test view still shows Temperature as Not connected - contact HB ...

Looks like I'm going to have to call them. Reset to defaults and still saying not connected when I do the self test. All the pins looked fine from what I could tell.

    1 more note ...

If there is a Y cable connected to the unit - remove the Y cable and plug the xducer cable directly into the unit to eliminate possible Y cable problems ...

You can verify if there's a Y cable by inspecting the cable molded to the barn shaped xducer cable connector ... If there are 2 separate cables molded into the barn shaped connector = it is a Y cable ...

I will check. I don’t think there is a Y cable. I called hummingbird last night they think it might be the ducer. I’m going to get a SD card and update the software this week and then call them back if it’s atill not right. Temp works when I hook it to the bow ducer but not the console.
