    Default Naming tracks on humminbirds

I'm sure its on YouTube but I haven't been able to find it..I can't seem to find how to do it from the manual.
What I want to do is make some tracks thru some trees and such while the lake is down so when it is up I will be able to get back into the timber easier and by staying in the channels. I would like to name each one so I can just pull it up and follow it. Is there a easy way to do this? Like I said I can't seem to find out how....thanks

Here are a couple on saving tracks. Can't find anything on naming so far. But giving different color's and saving may help you. Saving to SD card and loading into Humminbird PC may give you a option for naming them then save back to SD card and load to unit.

*Clear current track (press Menu 1 time with Chart view displayed) before creating the desired save track ...
*Navigate the boat thru the desired water path ...
*Press Menu one time to open the Chart Xpress Menu ...
*Choose Save Track (and confirm Yes in the green popup) ...

*Press Menu twice to get into the Main menu ...
*Cursor over to the Nav tab ...
*Cursor down to Waypoints Routes Tracks ...
*Cursor right to open Waypoint Management ...
*Change "Sort By" to an option listing that gets your saved track closer to the top of the Nav listing Menu pane ...
*Cursor down to the chosen track (it is indicated by a squiggly line, date and time) ...
*Cursor right to open the saved track options Menu ...
    *Cursor to "Edit" ...

*Cursor right to open track edit Menu ..
*Cursor right or left to move the character selection box to a character ...
*Cursor up or down to change the character ...
    *Cursor to "Save" ...
*Cursor right to activate save command ...
    -----

If you want to create a safe path on the unit map without being on the water = this is a Route - and a completely different procedure ...

I believe the units default to recording a track when they are turned on. Just need to remember to clear current track until you are at the desired start point and then save it when you're at the end of the desired track. The default name is formatted mm/dd/yy hh:mm (am/pm) and can change it to anything up to 19 characters. Be careful of using special characters and blanks. I normally edit the color of the track I want to use to a different color than the current track. Would also recommend using Humminbird PC for editing/management of the tracks.

    Correct Mr. Cray.

Opening your WP library once the "tree" is expanded - choose tracks, they are named by date - time etc.

You can rt. click and edit the name as you can with the WP's themselves.
